Zandra ‘Zee’ Parfitt is one of the last human survivors of a cosmic disaster that merged hundreds of planets into the mysterious patchwork wasteland of Chimerika. After learning that the experiments of her late father, the diabolical Doctor Once, created this world, Zee and her companions — classmate Erik Farrell and mermaid warrior Morgan — embark on a dangerous quest filled with robots, monsters, unknown civilizations, and unlikely allies. Together they push back against the relentless Consortium, who want control of this new world at any cost. Through it all, Zee searches for the truth of her past so she can redeem her father’s legacy.

Praise for THE ONLY LIVING GIRL
“The Only Living Girl hooks you right from the high-stakes start. Zee Parfitt has a second chance at life on a patchwork planet, but she’s haunted by her own troubled legacy, danger is looming, and epic adventure awaits. It is impossible not to turn these pages!”
âMichael Northrop, author of Dear Justice League
“The Only Living Girl is the start of an exciting new chapter for the world of Chimerika, and Gallaher and Ellis have created an equally exciting new heroine to lead us through it.”
âNorm Harper, author of Harphaven
“In terms of imaginative world building & multi-layered storytelling, The Only Living Boy was a great read. Now we’re putting the spotlight on the daughter of a villain… sign me up.”
âThe Pullbox
“Simultaneously wondrous and relatable. Don’t we all know what it feels like to grow up the child of a mad scientist? Or is that just me? The Only Living Girl is the cartoon I wished I had as a kid, but told in the language of comics, which makes it even better.”
âJon Callan, writer Ben 10
“[Zee is]Â a wonderfully complex character, balancing her commitment to the greater good while nurturing her love of science learned from a parent who was much feared by the general population. The artist has done a great job creating a large number of alien species, showing us originality on every page. This is an action-packed series and the artist meets the challenge in every panel.”
âReviews and Robots
“The Only Living Girl is a family-friendly adventure that lets kids be kids while exploring the depth of family ties and themes of legacy…Â Final Grade: an easy A!”
âThe Pullbox
“The first volume of The Only Living Girl was so much fun. In a lot of ways, it reminds me of early Fantastic Four, as super-science must be used to combat threats from outer space. This story has lots of heart, spending time exploring Zeeâs background and character, and balances this nicely with high adventure… I had a blast with The Only Living Girl, and I canât wait for the second volume. This title is highly recommended for readers of all ages who are interested in science and adventure.”
âGeekDad
“You really have to fasten your figurative seatbelt before jumping into The Only Living Girl adventures. These books are a delightful showcase for two talented creators, writer David Gallaher and artist Steve Ellis.”
